Duayne was born in Winston County, Mississippi, to Coy and Lattie Talbert Moore on November 16, 1926, and lived during his early years in the Rocky Hill community. He was a veteran, who served his country during WWII. After the war, he lived in several states while he worked as a sheetrock contractor, but he chose to spend his retirement years in Bonham, Texas.
Duayne is survived by his sons, Richard Duayne Moore (and wife Deborah) and Kipton Eugene Moore. He is also survived by one sister, Thelma Moore Douglas, of Pensacola, Florida, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, who loved him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first and second wives, Virginia and Elsie; his brothers, Marion Moore and Leroy Moore; and his sisters, Evelyn Moore Hanna and Pauline Moore Hinds.
