Mr. Griffin was born August 27, 1944, in Philadelphia, MS. He was the building and grounds supervisor for the Forest Products Lab at Mississippi State University, and a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eva Lee Partridge Griffin and Ira Curtis Griffin; and a nephew, Howard Griffin.
He is survived by his wife, Betsy Mahaffey Griffin of Sturgis, MS; his son, John (Deborah) Griffin of Silver Creek, MS; one sister, Elizabeth (Ken) Bailey of Pearl, MS; one brother, Reuben Andrew (Judy) Griffin of Oklahoma City, OK; three grandchildren, Carrie Beth Griffin, Melanie Griffin, and Curtis Griffin; one nephew, Steve (Denise) Griffin; one niece, Lee (Ashley) Shutze; his late nephew’s widow, Karen Griffin; and several great nieces and nephews.
