Amy Fulcher Touchstone

After a valiant and courageous fight with illness, Amy Fulcher Touchstone, 53, of Abita Springs, Louisiana, went to be with her Heavenly Father on November 17, 2015. Amy was born on February 3, 1962, in Greenville, Mississippi, to John and Lora (Edwards) Fulcher. She graduated from Washington School and Delta State University where she was a Phi Mu Director and Ethics Board member.

For 31 years, Amy fulfilled her passion of teaching children where she loved each and every child like her own. Her career was mostly spent with Kindergarten but she also taught first and second grades, and special education while also serving as an administrative assistant. Amy was dearly loved by her fellow teachers and students which were motivated and encouraged by her relentless devotion, her enthusiasm and her contagious smile. Amy also loved her Mississippi State Bulldogs and the New Orleans Saints.

Amy will be forever missed by her family: Her dedicated husband and caregiver, Keith Touchstone; her loving parents; her daughters, Amy Lauren (Kyle) of Kingwood, Texas; and Abby Sease of Kenner, Louisiana; and one grandson, Ryder Jackson. Also left to mourn her passing are her sister, Ann Ruscoe (Rusty) of Clarksdale, Mississippi; her nephews, Rhett (Cassie) Ruscoe, and John Landon Ruscoe; and her great-niece and nephew, Avery and Landon.

Funeral services will be at 12 noon on Friday, November 20, 2015, in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Langford officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service from 11 a.m. until service time at Nowell Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Noxapater. A memorial gathering to honor Amy will be held at the home of Barbara Brown, Covington, Louisiana, at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Bell, Kyle Jackson, John Landon Ruscoe, and Rhett Ruscoe.
