Mr. Williams was born on December 23, 1946, to Samuel “S. C.” Carlton and Geneva Emodean Dodd Williams. He was a member of Doty Springs Baptist Church; and he retired after 32 years from Weyerhaeuser Company where he worked as a boiler operator.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sharron Anderson Williams; his daughter, Sherri Williams Cantey, of Collinsville, Mississippi; two sons, Danny Carlton Williams, Jr. and wife, Ryleigh; and Anthony Williams and wife, Amber, both of Meridian, Mississippi. He is also survived by ten grandchildren: Lauren, Jamie, and Zachary Cantey; Nicholas Williams, Cooper Gordon, Jessica Duvall; and Tristan, Tyler, Trey, and Alyssa Williams. Also left to mourn Danny’s passing are two special ladies that he loved as his sisters, Patricia Slawson and Faye Horton; as well as, Derick Burchfield, whom he loved like a son. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his special uncle, Josh Williams.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bob Burchfield, Bull Burchfield, Jimmy Horton, Byron Nowell, Randy Phillips, Ronnie Phillips, Marcus Ray, and Jason Rogers.
