Ms. Winters, 78, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. She lived in Noxapater most of her life. She was a school bus driver. Her hobby was raising dogs. Ms. Winters was a member of Madden United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Cecil Smith & Betty Mae Alberta Liston Smith; husband, John Junior Winters; daughter, Nancy Winters; son, Samuel Winters; brothers, Jerry Smith, Roy Smith & Darrell Smith.
Survivors are (4) daughters, Judy Burkhalter of Noxapater, MS, Linda Robinson (Patrick) of Union City, TN, Dorothy Jean Carey of Marion, AR & Tammy Gourley (Johnny) of Dyersburg, TN; (3) sons, Larry Winters of Stallo, Jimmy Winters (Nita) of Philadelphia & Jeff Winters (Leisha) of Stallo; (5) sisters, Etta Daughtery of Sardis, Betty Smith of Noxapater, Mary Redwine of Ecru, Connie Randall of Pope & Virginia Tutor of Hernando; brother, Cecil Ray Smith of Courtland; (18) grandchildren; (20) great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Bradley Winters, Ronald Arthur, Hunter Arthur, Jason Robinson, Jacob Robinson & Michael Winters.
