Mrs. Odessa Rose, 81, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2012, at Winston Medical Center Nursing Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville,Mississippi, on Monday, September 17, 2012, from noon until service time. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 17, 2012, in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville,Mississippi, with Rev. Hubert Yates officiating. Interment will be in Oddfellow Cemetery in Starkville,Mississippi.
Mrs. Rose was born July 27, 1931. She worked at both Spartus Corporation and at TRW where she was a seatbelt inspector and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church of Louisville.
She is survived by two sons, Johnny Wayne West of Louisville; and Dale Joseph Fontan and wife, Sharon, of New Orleans, Louisiana; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Rose is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Greer White, Sr. and Daisy Ray White; her son, James Elliott West; three sisters and three brothers.
