Shannon was born on October 7, 1971, to Otha and Reta Dickerson Hartness. He was a lifelong outdoorsman who found great joy in hunting and fishing. He spent most of his working life working as a plumber. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Shannon is survived by his loving mother, Reta Hartness of Noxapater, MS; his sister, Angela Hartness of Noxapater, MS; his brother, Terry Shayne Hartness of Willard, MO; and his beloved son, Robert Dalton Hartness (Chloe) of Alabama; as well as other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Otha Hartness, and his grandparents, Robert and Ida Mae Dickerson.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dale Dickerson, David Quinn, Dalton Hartness, Kate Dickerson, Danny Whitman, and Dennis Whitman.
