DeeAnn Spencer

On April 28, 2024, DeeAnn Spencer passed away. She is survived by her husband: Jesse C. Spencer Jr., Lambert, MS; children, Ashley Williams, Ackerman, MS; Patrick Williams (Amanda), Starkville, MS; Courtney Nail (Kole), Collinsville, MS; grandchildren, Mimi Williams, Stella and Babe Nail, Blane and Owen Williams.
 
Born in Flint, Michigan on March 2, 1965, to Criss and JoeAnn Simpson. After DeeAnn was born her family moved to Lambert, MS where she attended and graduated Delta Academy. Upon graduation DeeAnn moved to Corpus Christi, Texas where she soon began her family. Again, DeeAnn returned to Lambert to raise her family.

She was an active member of her church and always volunteering at her children’s school. After the birth of her daughter, Courtney, they soon realized she had a life-threatening disease. After numerous appointments it was discovered, Courtney would need a liver transplant. DeeAnn went on to donate a portion of her liver to her daughter, they were the 13th couple in the nation to have this groundbreaking procedure.

It is no secret that her three children were her pride and joy. She was always there to support and encourage them every step of the way. Her shining moment in life was when she became a Grandmother. DeeAnn was a friend to many and never met a stranger.

DeeAnn is preceded in death by her parents, Criss and JoeAnn Simpson. As well as her two brothers, Tommy and Steve Simpson, and sister, Shelly Taft.

Arrangements are as follows:

Memorial Service: Friday, May 3, 2024, 10:30 at McCurtain’s Creek Baptist Church, Jones Road, Eupora, MS. The family will receive guests from 10:00-30. There will be a meal at the home of Ashley Williams (90 N Dewey Street, Ackerman, MS) immediately following the service.
