Mack Paul King

Mack Paul King, 83, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be Thursday, September 12, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Nowell Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, September 13 in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville with Rev. Mark Mayo officiating assisted by Jon White and James Whitehead. Interment will follow in Murphy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mack Paul was born in Winston County on May 31, 1936, to Clois and Betty Crocker King. He was a member of Murphy Creek Baptist Church of Louisville. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing. Mack Paul was a business owner in the construction industry and he answered the call of his country by serving in the National Guard. He dearly loved his family and was so good to be the first to help others.

Mack Paul is survived by his daughter, LeAnne King Cheatham and husband Robert of Newnan, Georgia; and his son Kevin King and wife Rhonda of Louisville. He also leaves behind his sister Betty Whitehead Sullivan and husband T. P.; and brother David King and wife Jamie all of Louisville. Mack Paul is survived by two sisters-in-law Pat Blanton and Paula Blanton. One of his greatest joys was being “Papaw” to his four grandchildren: Caroline Cheatham Everett (John); Matthew Cheatham; Kimberley King Sharp (Justin); and Kathryn King White (Jon). “Papaw” loved his great-grands, Paul Michael Sharp and Collins Sharp and Jon Parker White. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Bobbie Nell King; his parents; and siblings James King, Cliff King, William King, and Doris Smith.

Serving as pallbearers are Lance Blanton, Matthew Cheatham, John Everett, Richard King, Justin Sharp, and Scotty Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Buddy King and Greg King. Memorial contributions honoring Mack Paul may be given to Murphy Creek Baptist Church, 5420 Bond Road, Louisville, MS 39339.
