Jerry Lamar Webb

Jerry Lamar Webb, 79, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at his residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, September 14 in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Dowd and Rev. Charles Rook officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, September 14, from 1 p.m. until service time at Nowell Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jerry was born in Winston County on January 16, 1940, to Walter and Vida Edwards Webb. Being one of 10 children, Jerry had a work ethic like no other. He started his career as an electrician at many companies ranging from Fair Company, Triplett Electric, Brown and Root, Weyerhaeuser, as well as others before starting Webb Electric. When not working, Jerry loved fishing, farming, and being with his family.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 44 years Judy Gully Webb; and his children: Lynn (Scotty) Williamson; Patty Webb (wife of the late Jerry Webb, Jr.); Natalie (Philip) Ming; and David (Leigh Ann) Gully. He leaves behind his siblings: Janice Carter (wife of the late John Carter); Ruth (Don) Kitzelman; Libby (wife of the late David Farish); Charlotte (Larry) McCullough; and Billy Joe (Charlene) Webb; as well as two sisters-in-law Doris Webb (wife of the late Major Webb) and Etyol Webb (wife of the late James Bryan Webb). One of his greatest joys was being “Granddaddy” to his eight grandchildren: Kaitlin (Ryan) Furby, Scott (Esther) Ming, James Gully, Sam Gully, Noah Corcoran, Ashley Williamson, Marion Ming, and Amelia Gully. He dearly loved his great-grands Jozee, Reed, and Xander Furby, Grace Ming, and Jackson and Emmett Gully. He was preceded in death by his son Jerry Webb, Jr.; his parents; his brothers Preston, Major, James Bryan Webb, and his sister Walterine (Fred) Tucker.

Serving as pallbearers are Scott Ming, James Gully, Sam Gully, Noah Corcoran, Gerald Webb, Ken Carter, Terry Carter, and B. J. Webb.
