Maurine was born April 10, 1938, to Earl and Kittie Mae Hutchinson Hopkins in Noxapater, Mississippi. She was retired from Oxford Health Care in Jackson, Mississippi, where she served as a Home Health Coordinator. She also worked for the Census Bureau during her career. Maurine was one of the first to serve as an airline stewardess for Delta Airlines. One of her greatest loves was for her “farm” in Noxapater, Mississippi, where she was born. She enjoyed being outdoors gardening and working in her yard. She was a volunteer fireman and was always the loudest mother in the stands at any game she attended!

Maurine is survived by her four children: Lee Ann Robinson and husband Tim of Fayetteville, Georgia; Hoppy McIntosh and wife Renee of Temple, Georgia; Robert McIntosh and wife Dawn of Kennesaw, Georgia; and Lucretia Briggs of Brandon, Mississippi; and her sister, Mildred Myrick. One of her greatest joys was being “Grandmommy” to her 10 grandchildren: Matt Robinson; Rachel (Dave) Prestridge; Hope Robinson; Alexis Brooke McIntosh; Shannon Maurine McIntosh; Virginia Leland McIntosh; Adena Marie Grace; Tara (Ethan) Creel; Felicia Briggs; and Johna Kennedy Briggs; as well as her great-grandchildren: Amelia Prestridge; Roman Terry; and Cayden Briggs. She was also looking forward to the birth of her fourth great-grandchild in August. She is preceded in death by a grandson Roy Robinson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children, Office of Development, 2500 N. State Street, Jackson, MS 39216.
