Betty Ann Williamson

Betty Ann Williamson, age 78, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at St. Dominic Hospital
in Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation will be Monday, October 15, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Nowell Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, at Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Jones and Rev. Jerry Lundy officiating. Interment will follow in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.

Betty Ann was born in Winston County on January 9, 1940, to Leslie and Christine Warren Pickett. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and was a retired bus driver and cafeteria manager for the Louisville School District at Nanih Waiya.

Betty Ann is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, M. D. Williamson. She is also survived by three children: Scottie Williamson and wife Lynn of Starkville, Mississippi; Lisa Wheat and husband Jason of Flowood, Mississippi; and Sherri Nicholson and husband Chauncey of Madison, Mississippi. One of her greatest joys was being “Goki” to her five grandchildren: Ashley Williamson, Walt Nicholson, Sidney Wheat, Summer Wheat, and Ali Nicholson. Betty Ann leaves six siblings: Doris Lovorn, Abbie Ruth Smith, Warren Pickett, Gloria Veazey (Wayne), Buddy Pickett (Janie), and Sandra Goodin (Richard). She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Randolph Pickett; and her sister Dorothy Lou Green.

Serving as pallbearers are David Green, Tommy Green, Walt Nicholson, Buddy Pickett, Randy Pickett, and Warren Pickett. Memorial contributions honoring Betty Ann may be given to Nanih Waiya Community Park, P. O. Box 83, Louisville, MS 39339.
