Larry was born April 24, 1951, to O. B. and Hazel Ruth Holdiness Boatner. He was an active member of Indian Springs Assembly of God Church. Larry was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed farming and raising horses, mules, and pigs. He was retired from Winston County District 5 as a heavy equipment operator.
Larry is survived by his brother, Tim Boatner of Noxapater. One of his greatest joys was his three nieces whom he loved as if they were his own daughters: Hazel Boatner Dempsey and husband, Donovan; Courtney Boatner Todd and husband, Johnathan; and Shelby Jean Boatner, all of Noxapater; as well as a great-niece, Samantha Todd. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Serving as pallbearers are Gene Clay, Donovan Dempsey, Bobby Mayo, Johnny Palmer, Richard Smith, and Johnathan Todd. Memorials in honor of Larry may be given to the Indian Springs Cemetery Fund, 301 Mt. Calvary Road, Louisville, MS 39339.
