Miss Sarah Elizabeth Yarbrough, 95, died Sunday, September 11, 2016, at the Beehive Home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, September 12th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Childs officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 noon until service time at Porter Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Sarah was born October 30, 1920, in Louisville, Mississippi. She was a graduate of Louisville High School, East Central Community College, Mississippi University for Women, and received her master’s degree in Home Economics from the University of Southern Mississippi and taught school for over 40 years in Hattiesburg and Louisville. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Bernice and Zella Yarbrough.
She is survived by her sister, Mildred Hathorn of Louisville; nieces and nephews, Billy Hathorn, Ronnie (Vicky) Hathorn, and Sarah Claire Green; great nieces and nephews, Kyla Sanford, Kim Pitts, Brad Hathorn, Matt Green, and Lindsey Hathorn; and 8 great great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Hathorn, Billy Hathorn, Brad Hathorn, Barry Pitts, Corey Hancock, and Richard Randle.
