Jean Walters Mayo

Mrs. Jean Walter Mayo, 51, died Friday, June 18th, 2010, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 21st, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Haggard and Rev. Franklin Smith officiating. Interment will be in Liberty Cemetery. Mrs. Mayo was born July 5, 1958, in Louisiana. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Ann Walters; a sister, Margaret Ann Raley; and a brother, Charles Lee Walters. She is survived by her husband, Sheron Mayo; her two sons, Thomas Charles Broome of Destrehan, LA, Joel Ryan Armstrong of Louisville, and a daughter, Meranda Sheila Armstrong of Louisville; her father, Charles L. Walters of Louisville; her sister, Lynda Walters Mayo of Louisville; step-children, James D. Mayo, and Elizabeth Beth Mayo; a granddaughter, Bella Elizabeth Broome; and nieces and nephews, Michael Lawson, Chad Raley, Maggie Morris, and Jeffrey Morris. Pallbearers are Jason Mayo, George Ellinburg, Wayne Mayo, Bruce Armstrong, Trent Boswell, and Troy Varnado.
