Randal was born to Hubert and Barney B. Rives Livingston on September 29, 1948, in Winston County. He was an active member of Singleton Baptist Church, where he also served as a deacon. Randal was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially alligator hunting. For more than 30 years, Randal was involved in the lives of students as a teacher at the Winston-Louisville Vocational Center. Later in his career, he served as the Director of Transportation for the Louisville Municipal School District. Randal was recently honored as those in the community showed their appreciation to him for serving as the fire chief of the Betheden Volunteer Fire Department, a position he held for more than 30 years. He was also recently honored by East Central Community College for serving more than 30 years on their school board. There are many people in Winston County today for which he provided a positive influence and guidance through his years in the school system and community service.

Randal is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Marie Pearson Livingston of Louisville; his daughter, Leigh Ann Livingston of Johnson City, Tennessee; and son, Scott Livingston and wife, Marcy, also of Louisville. He is also survived by his sister, Tina Edwards; his brother, Larry (Laverne) Livingston, and his sister-in-law, Joann Livingston; as well as his loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Robbie Dale Livingston; and his brother, Hubert “Boozie” Livingston.
