Larry "Bubba" McAdory

 Larry “Bubba” McAdory, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at his home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Harmony Baptist Church in Louisville, with Bro. Jerry Lundy and Bro. Tommy Jones officiating. Visitation will be the day of service from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will immediately follow in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.

Larry was born in Louisville on April 14, 1954, to Leo McAdory and Johnnie Ruth Hatcher McAdory. He was a graduate of Noxapater High School and a member of Harmony Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors: especially hunting, fishing, and gardening. Larry also enjoyed watching sports and westerns. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his loving family.

Larry is survived by his two daughters Kimberly (Joey) Burdine and Dana (Danny) Sullivan of Louisville; and his two sons, Adam (Jennifer) McAdory of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; and Thruett Kirk also of Louisville. One of his greatest joys was being “Paw Paw” to his 14 grandchildren: Joshua Kemp, Hailey Kemp, Breland Burdine, Isaac Burdine, Tyson Burdine, Kinzi Burdine, John Patrick McAdory, Nick Sullivan, Wade Sullivan, Karlee Sullivan, Hinsleigh Sullivan, Jazlynn Kirk, Harley Kirk, and Layla Kirk. He also leaves behind two sisters: Lynn McAdory Smith (Jeff) Seward of Philadelphia, Mississippi; and Janet McAdory (John) Bradeen of Louisville; his brother-in-law, Steve Simpson also of Louisville; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Debbie Simpson.

Serving as pallbearers are Adam McAdory, Joey Burdine, John Bradeen, Steve Simpson, Drew Jones, Glenn Jones, Joshua Kemp, and Jayme Smith. The family requests memorials in honor of Larry be given to the American Diabetes Association, Mississippi Affiliate, 16 Houston Drive, Suite 100, Jackson, MS 39211-3058.

Larry’s family would like to extend a special thanks to his home health nurse, Hope Ware, with Mississippi Home Care of Philadelphia, for the care and comfort she has provided.
