Rosemary McDaniel, age 76, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020, at the Choctaw Regional Medical Center in Ackerman, Mississippi. Graveside services and interment will be 9 a.m. Thursday, July 30 at Welcome Chapel Jesus Name Church Cemetery with Rev. Bert Jones officiating. The family encourages everyone to follow COVID-19 precautions.
Rosemary was born April 6, 1944, to Limmie Ell and Mable Inman Smith. She was a graduate of West Point High School and she was a member of the River of Life Church in Louisville. Rosemary worked at TRW and was also a caregiver at the Hudspeth Home. She had a talent for upholstery; she collected antique dolls, played the piano, and loved her grandkids.
Rosemary is survived by four sons: Wayne McDaniel and wife Rachel; Shane McDaniel and wife Chasite all of Louisville; Duane McDaniel and wife April of Macon, Mississippi; and Micheal McDaniel of Tupelo, Mississippi. Also, she leaves behind three sisters Katherine Ruth (Pete) Walls, Sandra Kay (Dwight) Burchfield, and Barbara Carol (Billy) Harmon and one brother Roger Dale (Gladys) Smith. One of his greatest joys was being “MawMaw Rose” to her 11 grandchildren: Miranda McMillan, Dalton McDaniel, Brook Hester (Josh), Brock McDaniel, Chanley McDaniel, Jacob McDaniel, Taylor McDaniel, Christy McDaniel, Caden McDaniel, Roseanna McDaniel, and Carlee McDaniel; as well as three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Charles McDaniel, her parents; and two brothers Frankie Carl Smith and Limmie “Bobby” Smith, Jr.
Serving as pallbearers are Brock McDaniel, Caden McDaniel, Chanley McDaniel, Dalton McDaniel, Jacob McDaniel, and Taylor McDaniel.
