Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Davis was born July 9, 1926, in Louisville, Mississippi. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II and an Army Veteran of The Korean Conflict. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and Disabled Veterans. He retired after 32 years as an industrial painter for O.O. McKinley Co. in Indiana, and moved back to Louisville in 1988, where he was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Ennis Davis; his parents, Lula Mae Ellis and John Virgil Davis; a brother, John Cecil Davis; and a sister, Ruby Mae Byrd.
Mr. Davis is survived by his son, Terry Lee (Maria) Davis of Ridgefield, NJ; his daughter, Joyce Ann Sons of Indianapolis, IN; a sister, Ruth Young of Spring, TX, and five grandchildren.
