Mr. Jimmie T. Roberson

Mr. Jimmy T. Roberson, 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 13, 2012, at Winston Medical Center Nursing Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Sunday, April 15, 2012, from 12 noon until service time.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville, Mississippi, with Rev. Toby Halfacre and Rev. Bobby Joe Butler officiating.  Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.  
Mr. Roberson was born April 22, 1923.  He was a member of Zion Chapel Pentecostal Church, and a retired truck driver for J. T. Reed.
Mr. Roberson is survived by his wife, Eva Stevenson Roberson, his daughter, Sherry Duran and husband, Donny, all of Louisville, Mississippi; and daughter, Linda Swindle and husband, John, of Noxapater, Mississippi; and his son, James Berlin Roberson and wife, Judy, also of Louisville, Mississippi.  He is also survived by four sisters:  Lillie Pearl Kiener and husband, Merle and Lola Merle Espenchied, both of Ohio; Maxine Butler and husband, Roy, of Caledonia, Mississippi; and Joyce Fettrow and husband, Dave, also of Ohio.  Mr. Roberson has six brothers:  Horace Robertson and wife, Inez, of Louisville, Mississippi; Milton Robertson and wife, Stella, of Ohio; Cloys Roberson of Michigan; Rev. Bennie Robertson and wife, Helen, of Philadelphia, Mississippi; Travis Robertson and wife, Elizabeth, of Louisville, Mississippi; and Roland Robertson of Jackson, Mississippi.  He is also survived by three grandchildren:  Traci Borlovan, Leslie Nagel and husband, Brad, and Clay Duran; as well as, two great-grandchildren, Jacob Borlovan and Halle Nagel.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Etter Miles Robertson; and his sister, Edna Louis VanDevender.
Pallbearers will be Willie Earl Stevenson, Harley Eaves, Delbert Garretson, Stevie Breazeale, Billy Joe Jones, and Billy Straight.  Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.  Nowell-Massey Funeral Home, 724 North Columbus Avenue, Louisville, MS is handling the arrangements.
