Mr. Collins, 79, of Philadelphia, died Monday, June 19, 2017, at Neshoba County Nursing Home.  
He was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County and owner and operator of Wayne’s Small Engines. He was a member of the Philadelphia Masonic Lodge #93 and received his 50 year pin. He was also a member of the Neshoba County Shrine Club. Mr. Collins was a member of Beacon Street Baptist Church of Philadelphia.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Joyce Collins of Philadelphia; son, David Wayne (Nancy) Collins of Philadelphia; daughters, Debbie (Andrew) Harmon of Meridian and Theresa (David) Ferguson of Louisville; grandchildren, Samantha Collins, Brittanee Collins, Gabe Wilkerson, Sheena Wilkerson and John Parker; great-grandchild, Tristan Parker; and sister, Caroline Vance of Eldorado, AR.

Pallbearers, which were fellow Masons, are Shan Winstead, Bud Dees, Jarvis Winstead, Russell Moore, Junior Bell and William Crenshaw.

Melissa L. Dempsey

Melissa L. Dempsey, 49, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at her residence in Brandon, Mississippi.  Visitation will be Thursday, June 22, 2017, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Nowell Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi.  Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2017 in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rob Faulk officiating.  Interment will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ms. Dempsey was born June 10, 1968, to Brice and Ann Ellingburg Dempsey. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Melissa enjoyed fishing, was a rescuer of animals and loved her yearly trips to the beach in Florida with her family.
 
Melissa is survived by her two daughters, Laken Keller and husband, Justin, of Louisville; Julie Clair Vanderveen of Brandon; and by two sons, Seth Smith and Logan Vanderveen both of Brandon.  One of her greatest joys was being “Nana” to her granddaughter, Olivia Keller.  Also left to mourn her passing is her mother, Ann Ellingburg; her father, Brice Dempsey and wife, Nancy; her brother, Jason Ellingburg and wife, Melissa, all of Louisville; and three nephews, Blake, Cole and Bear Ellingburg.
Serving as pallbearers will be Raymond Dempsey, Sammy Dempsey, Blake Ellingburg, Cole Ellingburg, Robert Harrison and Michael Huntley.  Donations may be given to Nowell Massey Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.

Mr. Albert Davis Moore,81, died Tuesday June 13, 2017 after a strong battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held Saturday June 17, 2017 from the chapel of Parkway Funeral Home, Ridgeland MS.

Visitation will be Friday from 5pm until 7pm and Saturday 2pm till 3pm at the Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Parkway Memorial Gardens.

Albert, the son of the late Jeff Davis Moore and Mary Ellen Moody was born January 17, 1936 in Winston, County, Mississippi. He finished Mississippi College in 3 years and kept that same pace most of his life. He worked in Pearl, Mississippi where he was well known as a developer and realtor. He has been awarded many honors and has served in many titles in the organizations he was associated with.

Mr. Flake, 55, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017 at Winston Medical Center. He lived in Winston County all of his life. He worked 10 years at U.S. Electrical Motors and 17 years at Taylor Machine Works. Mr. Flake enjoyed fishing, gardening and football. He was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Noxapater.

Amy, a lifelong resident of Winston County, was born July 31, 1963, to Jerome and Ruby Jones Wright. She was an employee of Regions Bank for over 17 years and was currently employed as the manager of Hope Credit Union. She was very proud of and totally devoted to her family and took great pleasure in the time she spent with them. She also loved and greatly enjoyed her dogs and cats.

Amy is survived by her husband of 11 years, Clay Phillips; her daughter, Jessie Smith; her son, Jacob Smith; and her sister, Kathy Graham and husband, Tony, all of Louisville. One of her greatest joys was being “MeMe” to her granddaughter, Jaylee Fulton. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James Roscoe and Bertha Wright and Golie and Margaret Jones.

Mr. Nathan Junior Boydstun, 84, died Sunday, June 4, 2017, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 6th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Becky Smith and Mr. John Adam Long officiating. Mr. Boydstun was born October 14, 1932, in Louisville, MS. He was a yard foreman at Bennett’s Do-It Center for many years. He was a Mason, and a member of Vernon United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mattie and Samuel David Boydstun.

Nathan is survived by his wife, Shelby Jean Estes Boydstun of Louisville; a daughter, Vicky (John) Long of Louisville; two sons, Mike (Linda) Boydstun of Louisville, and Nate (Tonya) Boydstun of Pelahatchie, MS; six grandchildren, John Adam Long, Tanner Long, Mandy Clark, Chase Boydstun, Gavin Boydstun, and Corbin Boydstun; and 5 great grandchildren.

Maureen Perkins

Maureen, a lifelong resident of Winston County, was born January 8, 1935, to Jessie and Pearl Whitmire Carter.  She was an employee of Spartus Corporation for over 33 years.  Ms. Perkins was a lifetime member of Liberty Baptist Church where she served in many capacities through the years, including church treasurer.  She loved the Lord and her church family.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She was very proud of her family and took great pleasure in the time spent with them.  Also, she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and talking with friends.

William “Randy” Edmonson

Mr. William “Randy” Edmonson, 60, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, June 2, 2017, at University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Randy was born January 5, 1957, to William Clifton and Barbara Abrams Edmonson. He is a member of Vernon Methodist Church and the Nanih Waiya Volunteer Fire Department. He was self-employed as the owner of Capital Wood Works II and served as a Mason.

Randy is survived by his wife, Rhonda Edmonson; his daughter, Jessica Edmonson; his sons, Jack Edmonson, all of Louisville; and Randall Edmonson of Leakesville, Mississippi; and his mother, Barbara Abrams Edmonson, also of Louisville. He is also survived by two sisters, Bobbie McDill and husband, Dale; and Shelia Head and husband, Willard, all of Columbus, Mississippi. One of his greatest joys was being “Poppa” to Jeremy Lane Cross and Jordon Jenkins. He was preceded in death by his father; and his daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Edmonson.

Serving as pallbearers are Scott Barnhill, Matthew Graham, Clancy Scarborough, Cody Vowell, Trent Whitehead, and Trey Whitehead.
