Mrs. Angela P. Gregory, 48, died Friday, July 29, 2011, at her home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, July 31st, at Porter Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Joe Butler officiating. Interment will be in Whitehall Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gregory was born October 25, 1962, in Winston County. She was a homemaker, and a member of Whitehall United Methodist Church. She was a 1980 graduate of Louisville High School. She was preceded in death by her father, Marzell Pearson, and her brother, Danny Pearson. She is survived by her husband, Doug Gregory of Louisville; one son, Michael Gregory of Louisville; her mother, Zellowene Eaves Pearson of Brandon, MS; and two sisters, Wanda (Mark) Peagler of Flowood, MS, and Brenda (Shell) Leach of Brandon, MS.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Gregory, Jessie Gregory, Taylor Peagler, Jay Pearson, Dan Fulton, and Jody Fulton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cotton Clark and Donnie Hollis.

Mr. Wilkerson, 78, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church.
Mr. Wilkerson was born and reared in Neshoba County and enjoyed fishing, watching the New Orleans Saints and reading the newspaper, especially the sports section.

Mrs. Lois Frazier White, 99, died Monday, July 25, 2011, at St. Catherine’s Village in Madison, MS. Mrs. White was born January 18, 1912 in Winston County. She was a graduate of Louisville High School, and attended Delta State University. She was the owner of a landscape and plant nursery. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ewell C. White; her parents, Daisy Hunt and William D. Frazier; a sister, Vedys Frazier; and two brothers, William Lamar Frazier and John Estol Frazier.
She is survived by a daughter, Carol White (Bob) Anger of Madison, MS; two sons, Charles F. (Martha) White of Brandon, MS, and Jim D. (Caroline) White of Montgomery, TX; and grandchildren, Adam White, Eric White, Matthew Anger, Luke Anger, Jamie Leonard, and Sara Anger.

Bessie Mills Bane
Mrs. Bessie Mills Bane, 92, went home to be with her Lord on July 22, 2011. Visitation will be held at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with funeral services to follow at Nowell-Massey Chapel at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2011. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Rank Boyte and Rev. Stacey Parvin will officiate. Pallbearers include Clinton Mills, Danny Mills, Michael Ingram, Troy Burroughs, Jerry Pearson and Larry Pearson.
Born on January 22, 1919, in Winston County, she was the daughter of the late Clinton Lane and Icy Dallas Mills. She was a 1937 graduate of Louisville High School. Her family sold a milk cow in order for her to continue her education and fulfill her dream of becoming a teacher. She received an associate’s degree from East Central Community College, a bachelor’s degree from University of Southern Mississippi, and a master’s degree from Mississippi State University. While attending East Central she was a member of the women’s basketball team and coached the Decatur High School girls’ team. She was a devoted teacher, coach, and principal in the Bond, Lobutcha, Ford, and Louisville school districts for 42 years. As per her request, two quilts stitched by her former students for classroom projects will be draped across her casket. One features the fifty states, while a bicentennial theme is appliquéd on the other.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Everett Bane, her parents, and her two brothers, Archie Mills and Leonard Mills. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Darlene Bane, of Louisville. She was “Grandma Bessie” to E. J. Bane of Wiggins, MS, and Patrick Bane of Louisville, MS. Whether digging for fish bait in her flower garden, cooking their favorite meals, or being the pitcher on the mound for their front yard baseball game, she loved spending time with her two grandsons. She also leaves behind two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Mills of Louisville and Jane Lane of Carriere, MS.
Mrs. Bane was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church where she served as treasurer and adult Sunday School teacher for many years. She lived a simple life and enjoyed gardening and reading her Bible. She has been a resident of Lakeside Village at Noxapater, MS, for the past four years where she has received loving care from their compassionate staff.

Mrs. Cade, 93, of Macon, GA, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Coliseum Hospital in Macon, GA. She was born June 30, 1918 in the North Bend Community of Neshoba County. She was the tenth of eleven children born to Wood Allen Burt and Willie Cook Burt. She married Joseph Paul Cade of Noxapater and lived in Noxapater for over 70 years of her life. She was a graduate of Mississippi State University and Educator by profession. Her teaching career of 33 years consisted of teaching first and third grades at Mt. Pisgah School, Liberty School and Noxapater Elementary. She started many young children of the area on their path of education during her teaching career. Mrs. Cade was an active member of Noxapater United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. She taught Adult Sunday School, sang in the Church Choir and worked with the ladies of the church on all sorts of projects. During her retirement you could always find her working in her yard or garden always growing enough food to feed all of Noxapater. She also loved to go fishing and enjoyed her nieces and nephews taking her to a favorite "fishing hole".
Survivors include her son, Joe Burt Cade, Sr. of Columbus, MS as well as her three grandchildren, Joe Burt Cade, Jr. of Collinsville, MS, Edwin Paul Cade of Columbus, MS and Shayne Phillips Cade of Winter Park, FL. She had five great-grandchildren, Joe III, Mary Amanda, Hannah, Kaylee and Gracie Brooke.

Mrs. Cade, 93, of Macon, GA, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Coliseum Hospital in Macon, GA. She was born June 30, 1918 in the North Bend Community of Neshoba County. She was the tenth of eleven children born to Wood Allen Burt and Willie Cook Burt. She married Joseph Paul Cade of Noxapater and lived in Noxapater for over 70 years of her life. She was a graduate of Mississippi State University and Educator by profession. Her teaching career of 33 years consisted of teaching first and third grades at Mt. Pisgah School, Liberty School and Noxapater Elementary. She started many young children of the area on their path of education during her teaching career. Mrs. Cade was an active member of Noxapater United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. She taught Adult Sunday School, sang in the Church Choir and worked with the ladies of the church on all sorts of projects. During her retirement you could always find her working in her yard or garden always growing enough food to feed all of Noxapater. She also loved to go fishing and enjoyed her nieces and nephews taking her to a favorite "fishing hole".
Survivors include her son, Joe Burt Cade, Sr. of Columbus, MS as well as her three grandchildren, Joe Burt Cade, Jr. of Collinsville, MS, Edwin Paul Cade of Columbus, MS and Shayne Phillips Cade of Winter Park, FL. She had five great-grandchildren, Joe III, Mary Amanda, Hannah, Kaylee and Gracie Brooke.

Peggy Clark Estes
A local memorial service for Peggy Clark Estes will be at the First United Methodist Church in Louisville on Saturday, July 16, at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be at the church beginning at 1:30. Peggy joined First Methodist on in 1963 on profession of faith. She is the daugher of Charlene and Bobby Clark and sister to John Clark.

Mr. Holley was a retired contractor and was a member of Camp Ground United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Rolene Young Holley of Louisville, Mississippi; one daughter, Donna Holley Barnett and husband, Steve, of Carthage, Mississippi; one son, Danny Holley and friend, Jeannie, of Columbus, Mississippi; four sisters; five brothers; and four grandchildren. Mr. Holley was preceded in death by his parents, David Leon and Willie Estelle Posey Holley and his brother, Glaston Holley.

Betty Hudson White
Mrs. Betty Hudson White, age 69, of Barnesville passed away Friday, July 8, 2011 in a Macon Healthcare Facility. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 10:00 o’clock at Rocky Hill United Methodist Church in Louisville, MS, with Rev. Larry Haggard officiating. Interment will be in Rocky Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until service time at the church. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. White was a native of Louisville, Mississippi, but had made her home in Bainbridge for most of her life, before recently moving to Barnesville. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Aubrey Smith Holder and the late Mrs. Eunice Hatcher Holder. Mrs. White was a Retired Professor from Bainbridge College, where she taught for over 30 years. She was a member of the Bainbridge First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Hazel Young Round, 89, died Sunday, July 10th, 2011, at her home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 12th, at Noxapater Baptist Church, with Rev. Richard Andrew Willis
Mr. Richard Andrew Willis, 88, of Noxapater, Mississippi, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home, on Sunday, July 10, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 7 p.m. and on Monday, July 11, 2011, from 9 a.m. until service time. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 11, 2011, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Sanders and Rev. Davey Wilkerson officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Noxapater. He was born June 3, 1923, to Samuel Elvin and Bonnie Bell Ingram Willis. Mr. Willis, a retired carpenter and policeman, was a member of Noxapater Baptist Church. He served his country during World War II during which he received four Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart Award.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann McNeel Willis of Noxapater, Mississippi; one daughter, Lee Ann Rhaly, and husband, Barry, of Lauderdale, Mississippi; and four grandchildren: Katie Rhaly, Ashley Rhaly, Andrew Rhaly and Julie Bone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Elvin and Bonnie Bell Ingram Willis; a son, J. R. Willis; and a grandson, Richard Lane Willis.
