Onie Mae Taylor

Mrs. Onie Mae Taylor, 92, of Noxapater, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2011, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home, on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, from 11:00 a.m. until service time.  Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gregg Thomas officiating.  Interment will follow in Union Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.  She was born on December 28, 1918, to Romeo and Joyce Farish Bridges.  Mrs. Taylor, a homemaker, was  a member of Union Ridge Baptist Church where she displayed her love of children by working in the church nursery. She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Taylor Griffith and husband, Joe, of West Point, Mississippi; one son, Derrel Taylor of Noxapater, Mississippi; one sister, Genell Brown of Columbus, Mississippi; three grandchildren: Jennifer Maness and husband, Shane; Jason Griffith; and Rachel Golden and husband, Bobby; two great-grandchldren:  Robert Taylor Golden and Gracie Mae Maness.  Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Henry Taylor; parents, Romy and Joyce Bridges; three sisters:  Evelyn Lunsford, Waldine Morris, and Clover Bridges; and three brothers:  Romeo Bridges, Theo Bridges, and Otis Bridges.  Pallbearers will be Tom Boone, Barry Coward, Charles Thomas, Gerald Bridges, Kenneth Bridges, and Tim Taylor.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Tribute Program, P.
