Patricia Redd McClure, lovingly known as "Mimi" by her grandchildren, lived a life filled with love and grace until her peaceful passing on October 17, 2024 at the age of 74. Born and raised in Ackerman, Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She shared 55 beautiful years of marriage with Larry McClure, her lifelong love and partner. Their bond was one of a kind, a love that was both inspiring and rare. Patricia adored her family and never missed an opportunity to express how proud she was of them, always offering words of encouragement and heartfelt support.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children, Lorie (Tim) Sisk of Purvis, and J.L. (Manda) McClure of Ackerman; her grandchildren, Miriam (Loden) Harris of Columbus, Noah Sisk of Purvis, Mary-Elizabeth Sisk of Purvis, Clay (Kaytlyn) Grissom of Eupora, and Chloe Grissom of Ackerman; and her great-grandchildren, Ryker and Emery Grissom.
A dedicated member of Ackerman Baptist Church, Patricia found a second family in her faith community. She cherished her Sunday School class, took great joy in the sermons, and was actively involved in church activities, always eager to serve.
Patricia was the heart of her family. Her love was expressed through thoughtful and personalized gifts that will be cherished forever, and she never failed to lift up her loved ones with words of pride and encouragement. Her warm smile, gentle spirit, and kind words left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. Though her family will miss her dearly, they are comforted by the love she shared and the memories they will hold forever in their hearts.
Her legacy of kindness, faith, and devotion will live on through all who were blessed to know her.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, James Alvin and Eyvone (Thompson) Redd, and her sister, Susan Vaughn.
Funeral services will be held at Ackerman Baptist Church in Ackerman, MS on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Dr. Danny Irvin and Rev. Tim Sisk officiating. Burial will follow at Enon Cemetery in Ackerman, MS. Visitation will be held prior to service time from 10:00 AM –11:00 AM at Ackerman Baptist Church in Ackerman, MS.
