Billy Curtis Cherry

 Mr. Billy Curtis Cherry, 70, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at his home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 27th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Tommy Jones and Mr. Paul Halfacre officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. The interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Billy was born on October 1, 1953, in Louisville, MS. He was a graduate of Louisville High School and retired as a supervisor from Georgia Pacific Corp. After retirement, he enjoyed farming on the family farm. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Tammie Johns Cherry, and his parents, Elva Wylie and Grover Jackson Cherry.

He is survived by his sons, Jon Doss (Meredith) Cherry, and Brandon Cherry, both of Louisville; a daughter, Addison L. (Justin) Jones of Shuqualak, MS; a sister, Arlene (Johnny) Johnson of Louisville; two brothers, Benny (Pattie) Cherry of Union, MS, and Danny Cherry of Decatur, MS; and three grandchildren, Kyleighe Ray Jones, Haddie Jones, and Anna Grace Cherry.
