Stephanie Lanet (Lewis) Black

Stephanie Lanet (Lewis) Black, of Ackerman, MS, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at her residence in Ackerman, MS. Stephanie was born on May 21, 1969, in Arkansas, to Jerry Lewis and Gail (Brown) Tezel. She was 54 years old. Stephanie was a high school graduate of CAC in Little Rock, AR, and a college graduate of Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS. 

She was a member of the 2012 Phi Alpha Honor Society where she received an award for Social Services. She was currently serving as the Social Services Director at Choctaw Regional Medical Center in Ackerman, MS. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Stephanie is survived by her husband of 27 years, Maurice Rudolph Black, III. They were hoping for 50. She is also survived by her mother, Gail (Brown) Tezel; one brother, Chris, and one sister, Sophie. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Lewis.
