Billy W. Clark

Billy W. Clark, age 85, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2024, at his home in Winston County, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 15, 1938, to Bennie Clark and Zola Steed Black. He was a dedicated member of Liberty Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for over 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish whenever he got the chance. He and his wife, Winnie Faye, were business owners and operators of Clark Grocery in Winston County for many years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Winnie Faye, his daughters, Cynthia Kay Clark and Elizabeth Lynn (Jimmy) Alexander; and his son, Chris (Stacey) Clark. One of his greatest joys was being “Paw “Paw” to his four grandchildren that he loved dearly: Kayla, Cole (Danielle), Amanda (Kent), and Cody. He also had a precious great-grandchild, Hadley Kate Clark, daughter of Cole and Danielle Clark. He is survived by his sister, Sherry Clark, his brothers, Lamar (Jamie) Clark, Jerry M. Clark, and Keith (Kathy) Clark; two sisters-in-law, Ann Clark and Crystal Clark; as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Walter and Gary Clark.

The family would like to give special thanks to Legacy Hospice for their outstanding care and support throughout this difficult time, especially thanks to: Mandy McDaniel, Kelsey White, Elise “Little Bit” Hood, Laura Claire Livingston, and Chaplin Tyler Hunt.

Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Liberty Baptist Church in Noxapater, Mississippi. Visitation will be the day of the service at Liberty Baptist Church from 10:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will immediately follow the service in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
