Rodger Dale Keene, age 74, of Huntsville, AL, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2023. Rodger was born in Louisville, MS on October 11, 1948 to Juanita Mayo and Purvis "Pug" Keene.
Rodger graduated from Louisville, High School, Class of 1966 and continued his education at Mississippi State University. He graduated with a degree in Accounting. His first job after college was as an auditor at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Rodger was a Deacon and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church, Huntsville.
Survivors include wife, Susan Miles Keene; children, Julie Keene Blevins (Greg), John Miles Keene (Elizabeth), and Joel Wilson Keene; grandchildren, Benjamin Blevins, Breanna Keene, Abby Blevins, Nathaniel Blevins, Alaina Keene, Zechariah Blevins, Tori Blevins, and Caitlin Keene; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Purvis Delaine Keene.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon Thursday at First Baptist Church, Huntsville, AL. The memorial service will follow with Dr. Travis Collins officiating.
