Mr. Edgar Baker Kinard, 83, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Winston County Medical Center Hickory Cottage. Graveside services and interment will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 28th, at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev. Mike Dowd and Mr. Ricky Bane officiating. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Edgar was born July 24, 1939, in Winston County, to Hamlett T. Kinard and Frances Rowland Kinard. He was a graduate of Louisville High School and East Central Community College. He was a diesel mechanic for many years for Rives and Reynolds Lumber Company, and he was a member of Center Ridge Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lea Perry Kinard of Louisville; a son, James (Allyson) Kinard of Louisville; two daughters, Connie Kinard of Louisville, and Debbie (Doug) Cronin of Poplarville, MS; a sister, Betty Rose Crowell of Morristown, TN; four grandchildren, Jamey (Rene’) Bankston, Kayely (Cody) Vowell, Zac Owen, and Mackenzie Owen; and three great grandchildren, Jake Vowell, Kip Vowell, and Renee Bankston III.
Pallbearers will be Ken Mills, Billy Catt, Jimmy Roberson, Danny Mills, Zac Owen, and Doug Cronin.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Shriners Hospitals.
