Bobby Lewis Fleming

Bobby Lewis Fleming, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Baptist Medical Center Attala in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 18 in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Trent Jaudon and Bro. Ed Newman officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Interment will immediately follow the service in Crystal Ridge Cemetery.

Bobby was born in Scooba, Mississippi, on May 22, 1936, to O. P. Fleming, Sr. and Linzie Danner Fleming. He was an active member of Crystal Ridge Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school and served as chair of the deacons for many years. Bobby was a graduate of Louisville High School and of East Central Junior College where he played on the baseball team as catcher and pitcher. He retired after 27 years of service from Southern Natural Gas Company. Bobby was a Shriner and as a Mason he was a member of Louisville Lodge #75. He answered the call of his country by serving in the United States Army.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 59 years Sheila Fleming and his son Scotty Fleming and wife Carla all of Louisville. One of his greatest joys was being “PawPaw” to his three grandchildren: Jarred (Abby) Fleming, Jordan (Hadley) Fleming, and Reagan (Austin) Oswalt. He is also survived by his siblings: Virginia Mitchell of Louisville, Laverne McKay of Murrayville, Georgia, Eula (Ted) Betts of Southaven, Mississippi, Joe (Agnes) Fleming also of Louisville, Terry (Judy) Fleming of Philadelphia, Mississippi, Gloria (Wallace) Cade of Starkville, Mississippi and his sister-in-law Martha Fleming as well as a host of loving nieces and nephews and many loving friends. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Billy Ray Fleming, Ernest Fleming, Owen Paulette Fleming, Jr and Bobby Gene Fleming.

Serving as pallbearers are Jarred Fleming, Jordan Fleming, Austin Oswalt, Wally Cade, Lee Fleming, Mark Fleming, and Ronnie Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers are the deacons of Crystal Ridge Baptist Church.
