Roselle Brister Lefferts

Mrs. Roselle Brister Lefferts, 98, went to be with her Savior and Lord on Friday, October 1, 2021, at her home in West, MS. Roselle was born November 19, 1922, to Effie Azalee Smith and Thomas Harvey Brister, Sr. She earned her Master’s degree from Ohio State University and was a teacher for many years. Those who went before her were her husband, Theodore H. Lefferts, her sister, Sallie Louise Brister Melton, and her brother, Thomas Harvey Brister, Jr.

She leaves two daughters, Robin L. Klopfenstein and Melanie L. (Pete) Stone; 5 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

To honor her request, a Celebration of Life pot luck picnic will be held at 1:00 P.M. on October 17th, at Brister Cemetery, on Hwy 51 between West and Durant, MS. Bring whatever you and your family need to participate. There are tables to place food on if you bring enough to share, and don’t forget to bring your lawn chair or blanket.
