Services for Mrs. Brenda Fortune Sisson will be held Sunday, December 6, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Dr. Dan Howard officiating. Visitation will begin Sunday from 12:00 noon until time of service. Burial will follow in the Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston County. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sisson, 76, of Philadelphia, died Friday, December 4, 2020, at her home.
A native of the Four Corners Community of Winston County and a longtime resident of Philadelphia, she was owner and co-founder of Richard Sisson Trucking in Philadelphia. Mrs. Sisson was a member of First Baptist Church and a member of Eastern Star. She was a homemaker and renowned cook. She was active in the City Arts Council.
Survivors include three sons, Kim Sisson of Atlanta, GA, Tim Sisson and Jim (Maria) Sisson, both of Philadelphia, MS; and three grandchildren, John Forrest, Adrienne, and Sydney Sisson.
Mrs. Sisson was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Sisson; parents, James and Ester Fortune; and infant brother, John Forrest Fortune.
