Cindy was born on August 9, 1959, to Lonnie and Barbara Carter Stringfellow. She was a graduate of Louisville High School and a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Cindy was a registered nurse; she enjoyed her animals and working in her flowers.
Cindy is survived by her daughter Megan Young Withers and husband Dr. James Withers of Kosciusko, Mississippi, and her son Matt Young and wife Missy of Louisville. She is also survived by two sisters Robin Wood and Traci (Steve) Brock all of Brandon, Mississippi. One of her greatest joys in life was being “Grammy” to her seven grandchildren: Anna-Young Withers, Eli Withers, Caroline Withers, Barbara Withers, Sarah Margrett Withers, Kody Young, and Kylar Young. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents.
Serving as pallbearers are Jimmy Boswell, Bobby Joe Edwards, Jordan Mitchell, Mike Mitchell, Justin Wilkes, and Matt Young. Memorial contributions in honor of Cindy may be given to Calvary Baptist Church, c/o Jo Ellen Johnson, 4109 Old Robinson Road, Louisville, MS 39339.
