Family graveside services for Alton “R.A.” Hamilton will be held Monday, May 18, 2020 at 2 p.m. from Plattsburg Cemetery with Rev. Ed King officiating. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hamilton, 81 of Union, died Friday, May 15, 2020. He was a native of Plattsburg Community of Winston County and was a resident of Linwood Community of Neshoba County for the past 30 years. Mr. Hamilton was a farmer and Baptist by faith.

He is survived by his wife, Mabel Hamilton of Union; daughters, Betty Ann Lee (Dewayne) of Louisville, Wanda Burks (John) of Louisville and Dr. Lisa Thomas (Chris) of Starkville; sons, Gary Hamilton (Teresa) of Noxapater, John Glenn Hamilton of Dixon and Jimmy Hamilton (Janice) of Louisville; stepchildren, Pete Richardson, Patti VanDevender and Jean Richardson, all of Louisville; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Pauline Hamilton of Noxapater, Merle Duran of Noxapater, Rachel Mayo of Louisville and Diane Feasel of Philadelphia; numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Mr. Hamilton is preceded in death by his parents, John and Sue Hamilton; sisters, Kathy Todd and Mary McCann.
