Hezekiah was born February 3, 1954, to Winston and Wanda Bateman Chancellor in Louisville. He retired after many years as an auto salesman. Heze loved to fish, hunt, and watch westerns. He also enjoyed keeping up with each grandchild’s sporting activities.
Heze is survived by Sheila Chapman of Louisville; and his daughters Leigha Beatty and husband Joe; and Jody Taylor and husband Scott all of Preston, Mississippi. One of his greatest joys was being “PawPaw” to his eight grandchildren: Madison, Josh, and Maeley Beatty, Chancee (Tanner) Dalton; Coley Taylor, and Emma and Joe Wylie Duett; and his great-grandson Winston Carter Dalton. Heze is also survived by his brother Van (Betty) Chancellor of Houston, Texas, as well as his nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his daughter Loree Duett; his parents; and his sister Mary Lou Luke.
Serving as pallbearers are Tanner Dalton, Joe Wylie Duett, Dalton Luke, David Luke, Coley Taylor, and Scott Taylor. Memorials in honor of Hezekiah may be given to Rocky Hill Cemetery Fund, c/o Albert Moore, 2224 Rocky Hill Road, Louisville, MS 39339.
