Jimmy Dwayne Hatcher

 Jimmy Dwayne Hatcher, 71, passed away at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, Mississippi, on Sunday, November 10, 2019. Visitation will be Thursday, November 14 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Nowell Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 15 in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Lundy officiating. Interment will follow in Whitehead Cemetery.

Dwayne was born April 18, 1948, to Mardis and Edna Kent Hatcher in Louisville, Mississippi. He enjoyed driving a truck for several trucking companies until his retirement.

Dwayne is survived by his wife of 46 years Christine Smith Hatcher; two sons David Hatcher and Lisa; and Joe Hatcher; his daughter Rainey Hatcher all of Louisville; and his daughter-in-law Kim Hatcher of Renton, Washington. He also leaves behind two sisters Pat Blanton and Teresa Ming also of Louisville. One of his greatest joys was being “Poppy” to his two grandsons Roegon and Ryker Hatcher. He is preceded in death by his son Eddie Hatcher and his parents.

Serving as pallbearers are Lance Blanton, Jeff Culwell, Danny Hatcher, Kevin King, Marty Ming, and Matt Renick. Honorary pallbearers are the men in the Hardee’s Coffee Club that meet each morning.
