Eddie Hatcher

Eddie D. Hatcher, 46, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019, at Valley Medical Center in Renton, Washington. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 13 in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Rook and Rev. John Anthony Owens officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service from 12 noon until service time at Nowell Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Interment will follow in Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery.

Eddie was born December 9, 1972, in Louisville, Mississippi. He was a member of Blue Sky Church in Bellevue, Washington. Eddie enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and cooking. He loved his puppies—Rusty and Max. For the last five years, Eddie was a Security Analyst for T-Mobile.

Eddie is survived by wife Kim Shumaker Hatcher of Renton, Washington; his parents Dwayne and Christine Smith Hatcher; two brothers David Hatcher and Lisa; and Joe Hatcher; and his sister Rainey Hatcher all of Louisville. He also leaves behind a step-daughter Brittany Goodin of Memphis, Tennessee; and step-son Josh Goodin and wife Erryn of Fairhope, Alabama. One of his greatest joys was being “Poppy” to his three grandchildren: Tucker, Olivia, and Aven Goodin; as well as two nephews Roegon and Ryker Hatcher. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Beal and Cecil Smith and by his paternal grandparents Edna and Mardis Hatcher.

Serving as pallbearers are Clay Bane, Lance Blanton, Colby Clark, Jamie Eaves, Vernon Hathcock, Stevie Herrington, Barry McWhirter, and Scott Ruth.
