Mrs. Allen was born January 23, 1936, in Louisville, MS. She was retired from The Taylor Group where she was a data entry clerk, and she was very active in the Meals on Wheels ministry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don M. Allen, Sr.; her parents, Lelia Goolsby Dickerson and James Reginald Dickerson; two sisters, Eleanor D. Rives and Karnese D. Turner; and one brother, James R. Dickerson, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Laura A. (Gary) Mayo of Brandon, MS; her son, Don M. Allen, Jr. of Houston, TX; five grandchildren, Brian (Marissa) Allen, Brad Allen, Jacob Burchfield, Christal (Don) Roberts, and Kelsie (Jeremy) Inman; four great grandchildren, Jayden Garza, Brannon Allen, Olivia Allen, and Johnathan “Jack” Allen; and her niece, Ann (Terry) Reynolds of Louisville.
