“Chockey” was born June 21, 1941, to Melvin and Nancy Jones Howard. He was retired from Louisville Electric System and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
“Chockey” is survived by two daughters, Rosie Myers of Louisville; and Cindy Burrage of Noxapater. One of his greatest joys was being “Pop” to his five grandchildren: Kim Myers, Hailey Whitney, Heather McCrory (Jerry), Lee Myers, and Brandon Burrage (Alyssa); as well as, six great-grandchildren: Maddox Willis, Logan Whitney, Aubrey Whitney, Reagan Whitney, Addyson McCrory, and Saydee McCrory. He also leaves behind to mourn his passing a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Molly Howard; grandson, Hunter Eubanks; parents; brother, Rudolph Howard; and Sister, Walterine Bradford.
Serving as pallbearers are Buddy Bradford, Brandon Burrage, Charlie Fulton, Casey Hill, Jerry McCrory, Stuart Waddell, and Maddox Willis. Memorial contributions in honor of “Chockey” may be given to Indian Springs Church Cemetery Fund, 301 Mt. Calvary Road, Louisville, MS 39339.
