Dot was born March 19, 1929, in Winston County, MS. She was a graduate of Ford High School, was a homemaker, and a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Guy “Bo” Miller; her parents, John Swinton and Margaret Dempsey; four sisters, Annie Lou “Dude” McGahey, Emmajean Prisock, Ruby Lee Prisock, and Nannie Blair; and a brother, James Dempsey. Dot is survived by two daughters, Ann Fillingim and Carol Hemphill, both of Louisville; two grandchildren, Brian Fillingim and Kelly Hemphill Haynes; and one great grandchild, Branson Haynes.
