Funeral services for Rev. Wendell Holmes Fortenberry will be held 10 AM Monday, October 12, 2015 at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Marlon Adcock and Rev. Les Courtney officiating. Interment will be in Macedonia Revival Center Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge.
Rev. Fortenberry, 75, passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 at Winston County Medical Center. He lived most of his life in the Arlington Community. He was licensed with United Pentecostal Church as minister. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Rev.Fortenberry was a member of End Time Sanctuary.
Preceded in death by his parents, Comiedora D. Fortenberry and Verna Tolbert Fortenberry; 1st wife, Brenda Sue Fortenberry (2012); (3) sisters, Lola Thompson, Ludene Divine and Doris Benson; (4) brothers, Odell, O'Neal, Otis and OlenFortenberry.
Survivors are his wife, Helen Y. Fortenberry, Louisville; sons, Rev. John P. Fortenberry(Regina) of Philadelphia, Rev. Greg Fortenberry (McNetta) of Philadelphia, Dewayne Yates (Lacosta) of Louisville and David Yates (Susan) of Louisville; sister, Evie Tolbert of Escawtapa; (11) grandchildren; (4) great-grandchildren; host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Dewayne Yates, David Yates, Stephen Fortenberry, JeremyFortenberry, Terry Fortenberry, Brandon Stubblefield, David Gardner and Michael Yates.
