Ms. Hudson was born on October 7, 1921, to Lonnie Richard and Ethel Richardson Boykin. She was a member of Camp Ground United Methodist Church; and she was a homemaker and she retired from Louisville Public Schools after working in the school cafeteria at Noxapater Attendance Center for 19 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Helen Webb and husband, Jerry, of Noxapater; Beverly Kelley and husband, Clarence, of Louisville; and Bob Hudson and wife, Belinda, of Columbus, Mississippi. Ms. Maudie was “Grandmother” to five grandchildren: Wilson Webb and wife, Sandra, of Louisville; James Robert Webb and wife, Susan, of Noxapater; Roman Hudson of Atlanta, Georgia; Stacey Boatner and husband, Donnie, of Louisville; and Stephanie Lawrence and husband, Josh, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She also had nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Grace Eaves of Louisville; her brother, Richard Boykin of Gulfport, Mississippi; and two sisters-in-law, Margie Hudson of Louisville; and Doris Steed of Indianola, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Hudson; and her parents.
Serving as pallbearers will be Roman Hudson, Ronnie Mitchell, Jerry Smith, Scotty Smith, James Robert Webb, and Wilson Webb.
