Toby Wilson

Toby Wilson, 65, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Rocky Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Haggard officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, June 16, 2014, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Rocky Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.Mr. Wilson was born on November 12, 1948, to Bessie Sheppard Wilson and Elmer Wilson. He attended Rocky Hill United Methodist Church and was retired from the Winston County Sheriff’s Department and he also retired from Winston County Hospital as an EMT. Toby was an avid Mississippi State Bulldog fan and umpired baseball and softball games for more than 40 years. He was currently employed as the supervisor of security for ABM Security Company at Southwire Manufacturing in Starkville, Mississippi.

Toby is survived by his wife of 21 years, Deborah Wilson; and by three daughters, Samantha Wilson; Angela Gay and husband, Hugh, all of Louisville; and Jessica Wennberg and husband, Eric, of Channahon, Illinois. He is also survived by three sisters, Cheryl Hedgpeth and husband, Billy Joe, of Philadelphia, Mississippi; Barbara Swearingen of DeKalb, Mississippi; and Kathy Creekmore also of Philadelphia. Surviving Toby are four grandchildren: Morgan Gay, Magen, Mallory, and Ryan Wennberg; as well as, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Serving as pallbearers are Ralph Goss, Jason Pugh, Billy Joe Hedgpeth, Jackie Triplett, Samuel Ables and Luther Arnold Ables. Honorary pallbearers will be Woody Wilson, Leon Glen, Lawrence Estes, and Buddy Rogers.
