Mr. Floyd Smith, 79, a retired technician, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Windsor Place Nursing Home in Columbus, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville on Friday, April 18, 2014, from 6 p.m.until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2014, in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Murphy Creek BaptistChurch Cemetery.
He is survived by three daughters: Sandra Wing, Cindy Butters, Lynn Kemp and husband, Billy Joe; and by two sons, Floyd Perry Smith, Jr. and Michael Smith and wife, Lynette, all of Columbus. Mr. Eaves is also survived by one brother, James Smith; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Kelly Smith; and his parents.
Serving as pallbearers are Wayne Luke, Tim Luke, Chris Smith, and Scotty Butters. Services are under the direction of Nowell-Massey Funeral Home, 724 North Columbus Avenue, Louisville, MS.
