Billy Brown Ming

Mr. Billy Brown Ming, 87, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, February 23, 2014, at the Hospice Ministries facility in Ridgeland, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, in Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Childs officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Interment will follow in the Murphy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Ming was born April 1, 1926, to Eva Brown and Hilrey Parks Ming. He was a Mason and of the Methodist faith. He served his country by attaining the rank of Master Sergeant in the Army National Guard of Mississippi. He retired as a Fraud Examiner with the Mississippi Employment Division.

He is survived by his daughter, Ginger Ming Rushing and husband, Joseph, of Austin, Texas; and his son, Mike Ming and wife, Susan, of Clinton, Mississippi. Mr. Ming is also survived by his four grandchildren: Sommer Greenlee and husband, Robert; Natalie Moody and husband, Ryan; Payton Warren, and Randy Ming. He has four great-grandchildren: Rives Moody, Parks Greenlee, Jude Ming, and Lennon Ming. He leaves behind two sisters, Molly Estes and Ann Smith, both of Louisville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Willadean Ming; sons, Terry and Randy Ming; and by his parents.

Serving as pallbearers are Joe Rushing, Robbie Greenlee, Payton Warren, Rusty Crabtree, Ryan Moody and Franky Smith.
