E. L. "Fatty" Hyde

Mr. E. L. “Fatty” Hyde, 82, passed away surrounded by his loving family onSaturday, January 4, 2014, at his residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home of Louisville on Monday, January 6, 2014, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Garner and Rev. John Ballard officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Trent Jaudon officiating.

Mr. Hyde was born February 4, 1931, to Maggie Kea Hyde and Everett Lee Hyde, Sr. He was of the Baptist faith and he was a self-employed businessman.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Hellen Pilgrim Hyde of Louisville. He is also survived by four children: Gary Hyde; Sharon Hyde; Carol Young and husband, Alan; and Re-C Carter and husband, Terry, all of Louisville. Mr. Hyde has five grandchildren: Katrina Carlisle (Chris); Brittany Young; Jade Gallagher (John); John Mark Carter; and Chris Young; and seven great-grandchildren: Andrew, Jenna, and Eva Carlisle; Lana Raye Boatner; and Hydie Grace, Carter, and Bryson Gallagher. He was preceded in death by his son, James Lee Hyde; four brothers, James Hyde, R. C. Hyde, Bennie Frank Hyde, and Lafayette Hyde; his sister, Deane Cagle; and his parents.

Serving as pallbearers are John Mark Carter, Chris Young, Chris Carlisle, James Robert Webb, Casey Pilgrim, Virgil Pilgrim, and Ronnie Vowell. Memorials may be given to Zama Baptist Church, Kosciusko, MS 39090.
