Mrs. Beatrice Chamblee, 91, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014, at Cross Gates River Oaks Hospital in Brandon, Mississippi. Graveside services and interment were held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2014, at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Chamblee was born July 21, 1922, to Nina Harper Boswell and John Madison Boswell. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church and she was retired from Rankin County Public Schools.
She is survived by two sons, Granville Freeman and wife, Diane, of Lake, Mississippi; and Caley Gray, Jr. and wife, Ann, of Braxton, Mississippi; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Angie Newell and Jean Hollis. Mrs. Chamblee was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Chamblee; her son, Gary Freeman; and her parents.
