Mr. Myron Holmes McBrayer, 79, died Friday, June 15, 2012 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 19th, at 11:00 A.M. at Porter Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Noxapater. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Funeral Home.
Mr. McBrayer was born December 24, 1932, in Winston County, MS. He was a graduate of Calhoun High School, and attended East Central Community College. He was a retired machinist with Illinois Central Gulf Railroad, and was an Army veteran of Korea. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy McBrayer; and his parents, Etoile and Thomas McBrayer.
He is survived by his daughter, Myra Ann Lewis of Ridgeland, MS; a grandson, Adam Lewis of Ridgeland; and three sisters-in-law, Lucille Kirkpatrick of Noxapater, Ann Fulton of Brandon, MS, and Edna Kirkpatrick of New Orleans, LA.
