Mr. Billy Clark Watson, 71, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2012, at his residence in Louisville,Mississippi. Visitation will be Friday, June 15, 2012, from 5 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Arnold Davis, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Nowell-Massey Funeral Home of Louisville is in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Watson was born on September 26, 1940. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for 30 years; currently, he was serving as chairman. After 48 years of loyal service, he retired from Taylor Machine Works. Mr. Watson also retired after serving 38 years in the National Guard; he was a Mason, and a Shriner.
Mr. Watson is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn Watson of Louisville, Mississippi. He is also survived by two daughters, Leigh Anne Henry and husband, Tim, of Brandon, Mississippi; and Christy Wright and husband, Jason, of Bailey, Mississippi. Mr. Watson has one granddaughter, McKensi Grace Wright. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver Clark and Alma Barfield Watson; two sisters, Mary Ellen Johnson and Anna Jo Wilkes; and his brother, Oliver Glenn Watson.
Pallbearers will be Marty Ming, Stan Johnson, Charlie Wilkes, Joey Lowrey, Danny Hatcher, and John Winstead. Memorials may be made to the Nanih Waiya Campus of the Baptist Children’s Village, P. O.
