Mr. John C. Whitehead

Mr. John C. Whitehead, 82, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at Baptist Golden Triangle Medical Center in Columbus, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Monday, February 20, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 20, 2012, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jerry Lundy officiating. Interment will be in Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. 
Mr. Whitehead was born October 23, 1929 to John Carroll and Ruby Richardson Whitehead. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church; a retired automaker, who worked for the Chrysler Corporation, and a Mason.
Mr. Whitehead is survived by a special friend, Doard Bell Gregory of Louisville, Mississippi; his sister, Rachel Cheatham of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Johnny Randolph.
